Married at First Sight Novel Chapter 5313

With Xavier behind the wheel, he took Callia and Chester to the airport. Two cars driven by bodyguards trailed closely behind them.

Midway, Callia received a photo from Noelle.

Callia was surprised as the message came from Noelle.

Noelle was a kind soul who was like a sister to Callia. While Noelle adored Callia, she was not the type to send images. She would call for anything because, according to her, calling was just convenient and fast.

Texting was a chore because typing took time.

Noelle was just like Laurence. No wonder they fell in love. They were just the same kind of people.

Callia tapped on the photo.

It was a photograph of Laurence. Noelle must have snapped the picture. Hang on. What was Laurence doing?

Sitting on the sofa, Laurence was knitting a sweater!

Soon enough, Noelle sent a video clip.

Callia tapped on the video to hit play.

In the video, Laurence was all thumbs at knitting. The ball of yarn fell to the floor and rolled away, trailing a long strand of wool. Laurence put down his knitting to grab the yarn, but was worried he would mess up his handiwork. The fluster across Laurence’s face was nothing like Callia had ever seen before.

Sitting next to Callia, Chester glanced over and caught Laurence in the video. Having absolutely no reservations, Chester leaned closer.

Callia and Chester sat in the back as the little one wanted some time with Callia. Chester told Xavier that he was scared sitting alone.

Xavier was dying to kick him out of the car.

As if Chester was scared.

The York boys did not have “fear” in their vocabulary.

“Callie, what’s Laurence doing?”

“It looks like he’s knitting a sweater.”

“Knitting a sweater?”

“Does Laurence have nothing better to do? Didn’t he say he was soooooo busy? Why does he have time to knit?”

Picking up on the conversation between Callia and Chester, Xavier asked curiously, “Did you say knitting?”

Chester was quick to reply, “Xavi, Laurence is knitting a sweater.”

Xavier replied, “No way. You must be mistaken. Laurence can do just about

anything, but knitting? Not so much. I mean, who among us can knit anyway?”

Jasmine, Quinn, Serenity, and all the women in the York family did not know how to knit.

Heck, even the older generation, like his grandparents, was not familiar with the art of knitting.

The rich had no need to acquire the skill as their clothes were tailor-made.

If they wanted a sweater, all they had to do was ask for one. Why would they need to knit it themselves?

“I’m not mistaken. It is Laurence. Even Callie said so since the video came from Noelle.”

Chester refuted Xavier in frustration.

He was telling the truth. Yet, Xavier did not believe his judgment.

Callia replied, “It really is Laurence. He’s knitting a sweater in his office.

“I’ll give Noelle a call to get the deets.”

While talking, Callia dialed Noelle’s number. When the call connected, Callia cut straight to the question.

Noelle replied in a low voice, “He said that Chloe told him to knit a sweater.

Chloe?

Once the shock wore off, Callia asked with a smile, “Did Laurence upset Chloe?”

“Maybe. He always has his back facing me when he’s on the call with Chloe. He’s probably talking about me behind my back and using Chloe to pressure me.”

“Noelle, Laurence won’t ever talk trash about you. At most, he vents that you won’t listen to him. He told you not to be formal with him, but that proposal falls on deaf ears anyway. You’re like family, but you always put him above yourself.”

Laurence had been talking about these issues to them as well.

It was clear that he did not know what to do with Noelle.

Noelle was just as stubborn.

“He’s my boss, and I’m his servant. I can’t be disrespectful just because we grew up together.”
